Susan H.

I joined Childers Orthodontics in 1999 as a certified Orthodontic Assistant. I live in Benton with my husband Randy. Together, we have three grown children. Melissa and her husband, Chad, have two small children, Cody and Kaylee. They live in Ft. Myers, Florida. Zach and his wife, Dawn, and their little girl Sophia, live in Kansas City, Missouri. Jennifer also lives in Kansas City. We love traveling, especially to visit our kids and grandbabies! I also enjoy cooking and horseback riding. My favorite things about my job are seeing the beautiful smiles we create and enjoying all the good times with my co-workers!

Stephanie 

I live in Mulkeytown with my daughter, Madison, and my brother, Davie. I have worked as the Records Coordinator for Dr. Childers since 2006. The best part of my job is meeting new patients for the first time and making them feel comfortable in our office. I enjoy gardening, cooking, and spending time with my family.

Kim

I have worked for Dr. Childers as a Scheduling Coordinator since Feb 1998. I live in Benton with my husband, Dennis, and our dog Bill. We have two grown children, Matthew and Allyson. Matthew and his wife, Davee, live in Benton with their dog, Jackson. Matthew is a coal miner and Davee is going to school to be a court reporter. Allyson and her and husband, Ryan, live in West Frankfort. They are both chiropractic doctors with a practice in West Frankfort. They had their first child, Alivia Grace, on Dec. 7. She is precious, and we are so EXCITED about being grandparents. We are members of Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton. I really enjoy seeing all our patients when they come through the door. As an excellent team, we make having braces a fun experience by throwing parties, offering contests, and sustaining a family-like atmosphere. Dr. Childers is an awesome orthodontist and boss because he works hard to get your smile perfect for you and always looks after his staff. I know you will love coming here.

Susan F.

I have worked for Dr. Childers as a Lab Technician since 1992. My husband, Randy, and I reside in Benton. We have two daughters, Brooke and Rachel, and two granddaughters, Mia and Kayla. I enjoy spending time with family and friends (especially my granddaughters). My husband and I also enjoy boating, traveling, and attending sporting events.

FUN FACT: I’m a big St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Sherry

I am originally from St. Louis. My husband, Bill, and I celebrated our 25^th anniversary this year, and we live in Herrin with our dog, Buttons. We have two boys: Nicholas is a Senior at U of I, and Brendan is a Freshman at SIU-E. I received my Dental Hygiene degree from SIU-C, and I have worked in the ortho/dental field for over three decades. I joined the Childers team in March of 2009 as a Treatment Coordinator and am thrilled to be back in orthodontics. I especially love seeing my past patients bring in their own children to receive beautiful smiles. I love singing and playing hand bells in the church choir, fun times with friends, and watching my boys grow into wonderful young men.

I have worked for Dr. Childers as a certified Orthodontic Assistant since 2009. I am also a Registered Dental Hygienist and have worked in the dental field since 2006. I live in Macedonia with my husband, Jason, and our son, Hayden. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, baking, and spending time with my family and friends. I love seeing all the great smiles in the fun atmosphere here at Childers Orthodontics!

FUN FACT: I love shoes, but I would choose my mud boots over high heels any day!

Misty

I am a certified Orthodontic Assistant, and I have worked for Dr. Childers since 1999. I love my job and look forward to helping my patients create a beautiful smile that will last a lifetime! I live in Benton with my husband, Justin, and our two sons, Asher and Drew. I have a close-knit family and really enjoy spending time with them. We love to travel, and we hit the water parks whenever we get a chance! We are proud members of Whittington church.

FUN FACT: One of my passions is cake design. You name it and I have probably tried to make it out of cake. I have even met Buddy, The Cake Boss!

Michelle

I began working for Dr. Childers in 2000 and currently hold the positions of Treatment Coordinator and Public Relations Coordinator. I am a class of '95 graduate of SIU-C. I reside in Herrin with my husband, Clinton, daughter, Kayla, and son, Chase. I love watching my kids play sports (Go Tigers!), and I also enjoy attending church activities, decorating, shopping, reading, and spending time with family and friends. 

FUN FACT: I am a definite Twi-Mom… my daughter and I haven’t missed a midnight showing yet.

Kathy

I have worked for Dr. Childers as the Insurance Coordinator since 2004. I have three grown children and four grandchildren. I also have a Yorkiepoo, Trixie, who is 13 years old, and we both like to just sit and snuggle. I enjoy playing golf, though I don’t play very often, shopping with my daughters and granddaughters, which I tend to do too often, and working and playing in my yard with my younger grandchildren. I truly enjoy working for Dr. Childers. He makes it a point to create a fun atmosphere for us to work in and the patients to come to for their appointments. He is a compassionate, generous man who loves his work because he is able to improve the lives of so many with the treatments he provides.

FUN FACT: I went on a two-week mission trip to South Africa in 2010.

 Jeanna

I am a certified Orthodontic Assistant and have worked for Dr. Childers since 2008. I live in Herrin with my husband, Aaron, and my three children, Landon, Emma, and Regan. We also have a sweet little dog named Lucy. I spend most of my free time cheering my kids on at all of their many sporting events. GO TIGERS!

FUN FACT: I may not be a gymnast, but I can still do a back flip on the trampoline!

Heather D.

I joined Childers Orthodontics in 2009 as a Scheduling Coordinator. For over 17 years, I have been working in the dental field as an assistant and Scheduling Coordinator. I live in Harrisburg with my husband, Scott, and our two daughters, Taryn and Tori. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, boating, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite thing about orthodontics is seeing beautiful smiles!

FUN FACT: I will always be an 80’s hair band groupie!

Glenda

I joined Childers Orthodontics in 1999 as the Scheduling/Document Coordinator. My husband, Ken, and I have two grown children. Lesley and her husband, Matt, have three children: Drew, Cailin and Brooke. Chad and his wife, Jacqueline, have two children, Zion and Azure. Both families live in Nashville, TN. My greatest joy is spending time with my kids and adorable grandkids. My favorite past times include: hanging out with friends, decorating my home, shopping antique stores, and motorcycle riding. The best thing about orthodontics is seeing beautiful smiles our patients receive from our amazing doctor and staff. Dr. Childers has a high standard for orthodontic care, and I'm glad to be a part of his practice.

I am a licensed and certified Orthodontic Assistant, Inventory Specialist, and Executive Secretary. I have worked for Dr. Childers since 2001. I live in West Frankfort with my high school sweetheart and husband, Tim, and our daughter and “princess”, Tymber. My greatest joys are spending time with Tymber, traveling, going to the drag strip, and scrapbooking. My favorite thing about Childers Orthodontics is Dr. Childers' desire to teach his team, his faith in our abilities, and the beautiful smiles that we create.

I live in Ashley, Illinois, but grew up in Benton. I graduated from Rend Lake College and joined our team in 2002. I am married to my husband, Louie, and we have four awesome children: Kelsea, Gage, Aiden, and Remington. I am also a grandma to Lily, the prettiest granddaughter you’ve ever seen. In my free time, I enjoy watching my boys play sports, hunting, and 4-wheeler rides. I am the Financial Coordinator, and I am available for anything you need in regards to your account. The best part of being on our team is seeing all the FANTASTIC smiles we help our patients achieve. We get to watch them grow up while helping them create smiles that will last a lifetime!

FUN FACT: My favorite band is Aerosmith. I have seen them in concert A LOT, and I think Steven Tyler is the BEST!

 Denice

I am a certified Orthodontic Assistant and have worked with Dr. Childers since 1995. I live in DuQuoin with my husband and our two daughters, Grace and Josie, and son, Jake. We have three Maltese dogs: Maggie, Emma, and Ellie. We have also adopted a stray cat that we've name Kitty Kitty. I enjoy spending time with my family, and in my spare time, I have become very addicted to running. My personal goal would be to run a half marathon. 

FUN FACT: I cannot watch scary movies or else I am the star of the movie all night long... NIGHTMARES!
