Our objective is to make sure your visits with us will be pleasant and informative. Your first visit will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address the orthodontic needs of your child and is complimentary. Please allow one hour for this examination. We require that both the patient and parent are present (if patient is a minor) so that the objectives, methods, and duration of treatment may be agreed upon. Most, if not all, of your questions concerning orthodontics will be answered by Dr. Childers at this appointment. Questions about insurance and financial arrangements will also be addressed at this time by your treatment coordinator, Kandace.
Finances
If you prefer to pay for treatment over time, a personal payment plan can be arranged through our office by Kandace our treatment coordinator. As a courtesy, these monthly financial arrangements are offered without interest. Alternate pay options are also available and will be discussed at your initial appointment. Our team is committed to assist you with your insurance coverage. We will help you determine the insurance coverage you have available. We will also file your claims. Please bring your insurance identification numbers (Social Security, Plan ID or Group Number) to your first appointment as well as the name, address, and phone number of your insurance carrier.

New Technology
Our office uses state of the art digital x-rays to
provide our patients with the safest alternative existing
today. We recently installed a new Instrumentarium OP100D
Panoramic x-ray unit. We now have the ability to take
a better and clearer image along with a 90% reduction
in radiation exposure. The image is totally digital
and captured directly into the computer. This eliminates
the need for time consuming development of the film.
We are then able to enhance the x-ray using the most
advanced computer software available, allowing for a
more accurate diagnosis. We are proud to be the first
office in Southern Illinois to embrace this new technology.
Our acquisition of this panoramic x-ray system is consistent
with our philosophy of providing you with the most modern
concepts and treatments available in dentistry today.
